SatTrak immobilisation equipment

We have been reviewing what is available for anti-theft/ immobilisation equipment and have found that most products are either GPS or GSM. The GPS means they are driven via satellite and the GSM means they use a mobile phone signal.

We have selected the SatTrak unit – the market leader for security.

Key features of this product are:

·         It is mobilised via GPS and GSM so has the best of both methods.

·         It can be controlled via your mobile phone - there is a sim card inside the unit, so you just dial in to it,

·         You can kill the engine via a text or phone call at any time,

·         You can set it to call or text you if it is travelling over a certain speed (e.g. if it was moving on a lorry),

·         You can set it to times for it to operate or not,

·         You can set it to alert you if the machine is being moved with the ignition off,

·         It can give you its location – this is done by calling into the machine, it then gives you its GPS co-ordinates which you enter into the dedicated owners website and it can locate the unit to within 2 metres,

·         It can be transferred from tractor to tractor so if you trade your tractor in we can swop it over,

·         It is specifically designed for the harsh environment that plant & agricultural machines have to operate in. The unit is fully water and dust proofed, and can withstand vibration, and the hot and cold temperatures that it is exposed to,

·         The majority of tracking / GPS units have an initial purchase cost then an additional monthly cost. This unit is just a one off purchase cost.
